Diving - Need to know

There are several diving options at Dive Fest. Whatever option you choose please contact onsite dive centre Sal Diving to book and for further advice

Shore diving
While shore diving from Pentewan itself is not recommended, you can shore dive at some of the many sites in the local area see Dive sites for more information

RIB diving
RIB diving is available from Pentewan and there is a launch and recovery service available on the beach. All boats and divers must be appropriately insured. 

Hardboat diving
Hardboat diving is available through Sal Diving from nearby Mevagissey. Several hardboats will be available to book on to but these should be reserved in advance through Sal Diving


Dive Fest takes no responsibility for the iving at Dive Fest. All divers must be appropriately insured

Air and Nitrox

Diving - Air and Nitrox

Diving air up to 300 bar and nitrox up to 50% will be available on site from Bauer and Sal Diving.

Air prices:

Up to 12-litre 232 bar - £3

15-litre or 300 bar 7-litre, 10-litre, or 12-litre - £3.50

Nitrox - up to 50% prices range from £4-9 depending on gas mix, pressure & size of cylinder.

Launch and Recovery

Diving - Launch and Recovery

Dive boat launch and recovery service is located at the Beach hut at Pentewan Sands. This service will operate at a cost of £20 per launch/recovery payable upon arrival at the site or when you launch. Two tractors operate on the beach. Note: private vehicles are not allowed on the beach. Launch and recovery is available from 07.30 to 19.00 daily. With owners help, it is estimated that launching can be achieved within five minutes. Boat drivers will be required to show their liability insurance.

Kit Hire

Diving - Kit Hire

Due to the high number of visiting divers, the number of cylinders and equipment available for hire will be limited. If you need to hire either kit or cylinders please contact Sal Diving well in advance of the event.
